The March on the Pentagon Peace Contingent to Join
the Women’s March on Trenton
Trenton— Saturday, January 19, 2019 — Members of The March on the Pentagon (formerly: The Women’s March on the Pentagon) will join the Women’s March on Trenton as a peace contingent to put the anti-war agenda back into political activism and confront the bi-partisan war machine. The March on the Pentagon was originally formed as a response to the absence of an anti-war message in the agenda of the nationwide Women’s Marches that began in January of 2017. The March on the Pentagon is a woman led coalition of activists, professionals, military veterans, and everyday citizens of the world with one thing in common: we are anti-imperialist. We stand against Empire and all forms of oppression. We support our sisters unequivocally, here and around the globe. War is our common enemy. Join us as we declare that war IS a women’s issue.
The March on the Pentagon peace contingent will meet 10:30 am on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at the World War II Memorial that is directly across the street from the State House located at 225 West State Street. We will then join the Woman’s March at their staging area at the Trenton War Memorial located at 1 Memorial Drive.
