MARCH IN SOLIDARITY WITH BLACK LIVES MATTER TAKING PLACE IN GLEN ROCK THIS SUNDAY
Glen Rock residents and those in surrounding towns are invited to take a stand against racism and police brutality by marching in solidarity with the #BlackLivesMatter movement. Glen Rock for Black Lives Matter, a new group of local residents, is organizing the march, which will take place at 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 7.
At that time, marchers will gather at the Glen Rock Main Line Train Station at the corner of Rock Road and Main Street. The march will proceed east on Rock Road, ending at the Glen Rock Municipal Building, where marchers will be asked to observe a moment of silence lasting 8 minutes and 46 seconds, in honor of George Floyd and other victims who lost their lives to police brutality and racist violence.
Parking will be available at both the Glen Rock Main Line Train Station and the Glen Rock Boro Hall Train Station, across from the municipal building.
Marchers are strongly urged to wear masks and practice appropriate social distancing during the march and the moment of silence.
