CITY OF PATERSON DECREASE IN COVID CASES – MAYOR ANDRE SAYEGH TO ANNOUNCE OPENING MORE PATERSON PARKS
On Tuesday, June 16, Mayor Andre Sayegh will announce the next phase in opening city parks. The City of Paterson will open Barbour Park, Montgomery Park, and Westside Park as well as opening Eastside park to vehicle traffic.
There has been a significant decrease in the number of COVID positive cases in Paterson. On Sunday, June 14 the City had only 3 new positive cases the lowest number since the start of the COVID pandemic, because of the data Mayor Sayegh feels that it is a safe decision to continue to open parks to the public.
Paterson residents are encouraged to take safety precautions, practice passive recreation, and maintain social distancing in a continued effort to flatten the curve during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
