COVID Compliance Units helps to keep guns and drugs off streets
The weekend of May 29 – May 31 the following was reported:
Friday, May 29
– 20 Field generated and dispatched assignments
– 30 summonses were issued
– 1 Firearm Recovered
The COVID Compliance Police Units have responded to various locations that have had a high number of complaints in recent days, including:
– Governor St./ Carroll St.
– Broadway/ Summer St.
– Market St./ Pennington Ave.
– 10th Ave./ E. 28th St.
– 10th Ave./ E. 22nd St.
The above-mentioned locations had groups of people who were not practicing social distancing.
Saturday, May 30
– 11 Field generated and dispatched assignments
– 5 Summonses were issued
The COVID Compliance Police Units have responded to various locations that have had a high number of complaints in recent days, including:
– E. 16th St./ Lafayette St.
– 220 Slater St.
– 206 Market St.
During this tour the following was recovered:
- 3 Firearms
- 742 Glassines of heroin
- 36 vials of cocaine
- 1 stolen vehicle
Sunday, May 31
– 82 Field generated and dispatched assignments
– 74 Summonses were issued
