TO FOCUS ON VOTE BY MAIL ELECTION
PATERSON RESPONDS TO TRUMP’S TAUNTS
President Trump and his administration have attempted to mar Paterson’s reputation by continuously making inflammatory remarks about our great City and amplifying voter fraud charges. Self-servingly, President Trump has tried to author a narrative that baselessly tarnishes the reputation of our community at large. It’s time to set the narrative straight.
On August 26, Mayor Andre Sayegh will announce the creation of a team of Silk City Suffragettes. The Silk City Suffragettes will be comprised of women from the City of Paterson who will focus on bringing awareness to the importance of our civic duty to participate in the vote by mail process and educate voters on the process for the upcoming election.
2020 marks the Centennial Anniversary of the Women’s Suffrage movement – a journey that ultimately led to the ratification of the 19th Amendment which gave women in the United States the Constitutional right to vote.
