Mayor Brian P. Stack Announces “Union City First” Slate for Municipal Election to be Held on May 8, 2018

UNION CITY, NJ–Today, the “Union City First” Team led by Mayor Brian P. Stack was filed to run for Mayor and Commissioners at the Union City Municipal Clerk’s Office with more than 4,400 petitions.

 

Running for the City Commission alongside Mayor Brian P. Stack will be:

 

-Wendy Grullon

-Maryury Martinetti – incumbent

-Lucio Fernandez – incumbent

-Celin Valdivia – incumbent

 

Wendy Grullon will be replacing Tilo E. Rivas on the ticket who has decided to focus on spending more time with his family, but will remain a member of the Hudson County Chosen Freeholders. Ms. Grullon is a longtime resident of Union City, is employed by the Union City Board of Education and has been active in the community for the past twenty years.

 

Regarding the upcoming election, Mayor Stack said, “Today’s filing shows overwhelming support for what our administration has achieved during our current term. We look forward to working as a team that will continue to make Union City vibrant and a great community in which to live, work and raise a family. We are proud of our schools, parks, infrastructure, commerce and public safety record. Most importantly, we will continue to be the most responsive local government in the region.”

 

Stack added, “As we thank Tilo for his tireless dedication to our residents, we welcome Wendy to the team, as we are confident that her commitment to the community will be evident on a daily basis.  She will join our constant fight for local residents.”
