Mayor Colleen Mahr's statement regarding Column B's victory tonight in Fanwood:

"This election was about Fanwood residents voting to keep our values and leaders local.

This campaign was hope, personified. The election results showed us--when we chose to fight for eachother in Fanwood, we can win.

And tonight, we did just that.

Leadership looks like all of you in this room: our committee men and women, our dedicated public servants, and the Fanwood voters who came out in historic numbers for a Primary Election.

This is proof of what we, the residents of Fanwood, are capable of--and none of us should forget this feeling.
