Mayor-Elect Reed Gusciora’s Statement on Trenton Shooting at Art All Night
Trenton, NJ –Trenton’s Mayor-Elect, Reed Gusciora issued the following statement on the shooting that took place at the Capital City’s Art All Night:
I am heartbroken that violence has made its way into the Capital City and at such a positive event for Trenton. My prayers are with all the victims and the victims’ families of this senseless tragedy. We must do all we can to make our neighborhoods and streets safe for Trenton residents and our visitors. I have reached out to both Mayor Eric Jackson and Police Director Ernest Perry and have asked for any updates in the investigation. I have regularly attended Art All Night since its inception and was there again Saturday night. Due to the ongoing investigation, the Arts festival has been closed for the remainder of the event. I hope that Art All Night does continue but we are going to have to reevaluate security measures in the future. It will be a top priority of my administration to make Trenton a safer city.
