Mayor Fulop Joins Jewish Community Leaders to Present Check for Family of Fallen Jersey City Police Detective Joseph Seals
WHAT: Mayor Fulop will join leadership from the NJ and NY Orthodox Jewish Community to present a $48,000 check for the wife and five children of Jersey City Police Detective Joseph Seals, who was killed in the line of duty on December 10, 2019. The donation will be accepted by JCPOBA President Carmine Disbrow on behalf of the Seals family. As they mourn the tragic deaths within their own community following the shootings, the Chevra Kaddisha of Flatbush started the fundraising campaign for the Seals family to show their appreciation for law enforcement and to honor Detective Seals. Following an outpouring of support, in just two months 1,400 people donated a combined total of $48,000.
