Mayor Gusciora announces tax relief info sessions to be held throughout City

TRENTON, N.J. – The Gusciora administration announces an initiative to provide public information sessions regarding property taxes and offer technical assistance to our residences. In 2017, the City of Trenton underwent a property revaluation, which raised taxes on many residents and businesses throughout the city.

“Our goal is to make the city more affordable for all of our families,” Mayor Gusciora said. “We plan to host information sessions around the city to provide residents the information they need to make a property tax appeal and create a payment plan to pay back taxes. We will also be providing information to seniors older than 70 about how to freeze their property taxes to ensure that they can stay in their homes through retirement.”

Trenton City Council President Kathy McBride added, “The Legislative Body looks forward to working with Mayor Gusciora and his staff in the upcoming weeks to inform our residents on the various programs the City has to offer.”
