Mayor Gusciora to Host Foreign Dignitary
Ambassador from Taiwan to Tour Capital
Trenton N.J. – Ambassador Lily L. W. Hsu will be visiting Trenton tomorrow, July 6th to meet with Mayor Gusciora. This will be the Mayor’s first meeting with a foreign diplomat as Trenton’s executive.
The ambassador currently heads the United Nations Affairs Task Force and is based out of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in New York City. She has worked in foreign relations for nearly three decades.
Trenton’s 56th mayor is excited to show her what our Capital City has to offer. “I can’t stress enough how vital this visit is to cultivating our city’s international connections. Foreign dignitaries make way for a boosted interest in Trenton’s wealth of arts, culture, and tradition. In turn, tourist’s will bring with them invaluable revenue. My vision of our Capital is predicated on future relations with peoples from across the globe.”
Last year Gusciora toured Taiwan as part of a legislative delegation. They were tasked with fostering economic ties to the Pacific region.
The state reception will begin at noon. This will cap Mayor Gusciora’s first week in Trenton City Hall.
