Mayor Gusciora’ s Statement on Perez Camp’s Frivolous Suit

Trenton N.J. – Mayor Reed Gusciora has released the following statement in response to the frivolous lawsuit filed by Paul Perez’s campaign workers.

“The election ended on June 12th at 8:00 pm. I was hopeful that the Perez camp would be willing to move forward and begin cooperating towards this city’s betterment. But I was wrong; they instead found it necessary to file a frivolous lawsuit, and attempt to hinder our new administration in moving Trenton forward.

They have made it painfully obvious that they never had Trenton’s best interests at heart. This is not a pursuit of justice, but a half-hearted attempt to serve their own interests.

I find it especially disheartening that Mr. Perez has yet to amend his own financial reporting from the 2014 election. Something which he promised to deliver.

We ran a clean campaign. We won this election fair and square. Mr. Perez’s camp should recognize the results.”
