Bergenfield Mayor, and Bergen County Executive candidate Norman Schmelz today commended President Donald J. Trump for terminating American participation with JCPOA- The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.

Mayor Schmelz, said, “I believe that these actions make the United States a safer place. The current dictatorial regime in Iran is determined in its mission to harm the United States, as well as its allies in the Middle East such as Israel. Iran cannot be allowed to obtain nuclear arms. JCPOA virtually guaranteed that our children and grandchildren will have to contend with a nuclear armed Iranian Dictatorship. We cannot make our children and grandchildren pay for our mistakes like JCPOA.
