Mayor Wilda Diaz Endorses Youth First 2017 Slate For BOE

PERTH AMBOY – Mayor Wilda Diaz joined the Youth First 2017 slate on Wednesday September 13, as they made their announcement for this November’s Board of Education Election at their Campaign Headquarters, located at 336A State Street.

“It is with great pride that I stand by Jesus “Jay” Martinez, Lisett Lebron, and Irving Lozada, as they announce their candidacies for Board of Education. We owe it to the future of our youth to continue to work together by giving the best that our City can offer.”

She was joined by a large crowd of supporters that included teachers, parents, and children alike as well as council members and city officials, all sharing in the moment of the candidates expressing their vision for a united City.
“Former U.S. Recon Marine and retired Perth Amboy Police Detective, Jesus “Jay” Martinez has always maintained an interest in engaging our youth. He has served as both a mentor and guide for our community at large. Lisett Lebron is a widely respected leader in our non-profit community and has demonstrated her commitment to our children. Irving Lozada, a reputable community leader and a dedicated employee. Irving has established that the residents of the City of Perth Amboy come first, especially our youth.”
