McKeon: Trump’s Actions with Putin

are Unacceptable  

(TRENTON) – Assemblyman John F. McKeon (D-Essex, Morris) today issued the following statement regarding President Trump’s summit with President Vladimir V. Putin.

            “President Trump’s recent actions are disappointing and unacceptable.  His tweets and statements are an embarrassment and a danger to our nation. 

“While diplomacy is something to be celebrated, our president turns it into a mockery by kowtowing to President Putin.  It’s astonishing and repulsive that he chooses to believe a former KGB agent and contradicted the hardworking, respected officials in the U.S. intelligence agencies.

“There is absolutely no question that Russia interfered with our election. They are not our ally, and the president must hold them accountable to ensure the integrity of our future elections.”
