Press Release regarding 2020 Town Council Candidates

The town has demanded the removal of Mecaj & Baldini election signs, claiming that we violated an ordinance forbidding political signs more than 30 days before an election. This claim ignores the fact that the voting process already had started:

Your Ballot has been mailed!
The 2020 Election has started!

The Town of Newton is playing political games with the vote, and obviously the Town is more interested in Ripping down our Signs than in protecting the Sanctity of your Vote!

Mecaj and Baldini are the only ones fighting back to protect your Vote!

The behavior of the Town of Newton to threaten to take down campaign signs is what we see from the Central Committee of the CCP—not your small town.

Where are the other candidates?

If they’re not willing to stand up to bureaucratic abuses in the campaign now-how will the Council Candidates be prepared to fight for you in the Council Room? The answer is simple. You cannot trust them to fight for you.

Only the proven warriors Mecaj and Baldini can be depended on to fight for the Taxpayers.

Just so we’re all clear. The town of Newton ordinance labeled ORDINANCE 2015-21 allows for political signs to be posted 30 days out from the “event”! Mail in Ballots have been mailed and are in the hands of the voters! The Official Mail Deposit Boxes have been placed in Town Centers in order to accept the ballots. VOTING IS TAKING PLACE! The “event” is happening!

Is this a move to protect the council incumbent who hasn’t put out signs?
Is this a move by the town manager to shut down the two loudest voices of descent against his policies?
Is the behavior of using ordinances to harass, intimidate and bully taxpayers into compliance a pattern?
