Mehrotra and Montes Release Campaign Video “Stand Up”

MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ—Candidates for Borough Council Anjali Mehrotra and Ileana Montes today released their third digital ad, titled “Stand Up.” The piece encourages Mountainside families to stand up for their values: accountability, honesty, fairness, and respect. The campaign released the following statement along with the ad:

“It is time for everyone in Mountainside to stand up together for what is right. Mountainside has been run by a tight-knit group of insiders who put themselves and their friends ahead of everyone else for too long, and now we are paying the price. Higher taxes, fewer services, and an embarrassing lawsuit that has already cost us more than $400,000.

“We can bring our values back to Borough Hall, but only if we all work together. We are running to bring integrity, transparency, and accountability back to Borough Hall, but we cannot succeed without Mountainside families standing up to the old power structure. We all tell our children to stand up for themselves on the playground. Now it is time to show them what that looks like in the real world.”
