Menendez Statement on the Passing of Assemblyman Jerry Green

WASHINGTON, D.C.U.S. Senator Bob Menendez released the following statement today on news of the passing of longtime State Assemblyman Jerry Green:

“I was so saddened to hear that we lost Jerry Green today.  He was the lion of the Assembly, a passionate advocate and dedicated public servant, who fought tirelessly to improve the lives of all New Jerseyans.  In that fight, he never lost sight of the community he proudly represented, helping to spark Plainfield’s renaissance and expand economic opportunity throughout Union County.  We will all miss Jerry’s smile, wit and unbridled love of life.  Plainfield is better off because of Jerry Green.  Union County is better off because of Jerry Green.  New Jersey is better off because of Jerry Green.  My thoughts are with his wife Wanda, their family and loved ones during this difficult time.”
