Mercer County Young Democrats Elect 2022 Executive Board

On Monday, June 27th, the Mercer County Young Democrats (MCYD) held their annual reorganization and 2022 Executive Board Elections via Zoom. At this meeting, the following members were elected to serve on the Executive Board:

* Treasurer: Larry Traylor
* Secretary: Andrew McAllister
* Political Chair: Addison Hinrichs
* Outreach Chair: Brianna Hill

“My enthusiastic congratulations to the newly elected officers of the Mercer County Young Democrats, who are our talented and engaged young leaders,” said Mercer County Democratic Chairwoman Janice Mironov. “We are excited for the continuing growth, involvement and commitment of our Young Democrats, who add great spirit to our Party and represent great hope for our Party’s future.”

“With immense pride, I am happy to welcome Marvin, Larry, Andrew, Addison, and Brianna to serve on the Executive Board. As our country, our state, and no doubt our county anticipates the challenging times that lie ahead, I am honored to work alongside this group of young, talented individuals to continue to elect and support Democratic candidates, use our voices to influence the direction that the Party takes, and continue the tremendous growth I have seen in my tenure in the organization,” said MCYD Chairwoman Athina Fassu.

The election process was facilitated by Assemblyman Daniel Benson, who remarked, “I thank all of the outgoing officers and congratulate the new officers of the MCYD. This vibrant organization is key to not only the future of our Party. But the voice of our values today. This Executive Board reflects our community and they have a wonderful vision of engaging youth and fighting for our Democratic priorities, not just on Election Day, but all year round.”

The mission of the Mercer County Young Democrats is to further the ideals and principles of the Democratic Party, elect Democratic candidates for public office at all levels, encourage the involvement of young people in civic and political affairs, to promote justice, equality, and diversity, and to promote fellowship and cooperation with one another.
