MERCER: WEBINAR TO INFORM BUSINESSES IMPACTED BY COVID-19

WEBINAR TO INFORM BUSINESSES IMPACTED BY COVID-19

Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes encourages area businesses to register for a special webinar conversation with Tim Sullivan, CEO of the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA), that’s aimed at providing insight into the initiatives announced by the NJDEA late last week in response to the COVID-19 public health emergency.

The webinar, co-hosted by the New Jersey Business & Industry Association, the New Jersey State Chamber of Commerce and the Commerce & Industry Association of New Jersey, will take place Tuesday, March 31, at 4 p.m.

“As our local business community struggles through these uncertain times, Mercer County will continue to provide our businesses with information on important grants and loans,” Mr. Hughes said. “Tuesday’s webinar presented by three statewide organizations should answer some of your questions and concerns regarding immediate financing of your business during this crisis.”

Mr. Hughes said the County will continue to keep businesses abreast of new initiatives through its Office of Economic Development web page and provide more information on federal programs as it becomes available.

To mitigate the impact of COVID-19 and protect the capacity of New Jersey’s health care system for the state’s most vulnerable, all residents are under a stay-at-home order issued by Gov. Phil Murphy. Executive Order No. 107 provides for certain exceptions, such as obtaining essential goods or services, seeking medical attention, visiting family or close friends, reporting to work, or engaging in outdoor activities. It also directs the closure of all non-essential retail businesses to the public. Find more information at COVID19.nj.gov.
