Middlesex County GOP Chairwoman Lucille Panos Celebrates Successful Fundraiser

For Immediate Release

Old Bridge, NJ– This past Friday night the Middlesex County Republican Organization (MCRO) held a fundraiser featuring former Governors Tom Kean and Chris Christie. The Governors were there to tell the crowd the vital role Middlesex County played in their victorious elections.

Freeholder Candidate Rich Castaldo, set the tone of event as he introduced NJGOP Chairman Doug Steinhardt, emphasizing that it is once again time for Middlesex County to “Say Something, Do Something, and Be Something, because if not us, then who? If not now, then when?”

MC of the event, Chairman Steinhardt kept the enthusiasm flowing as he introduced party dignitaries past, present and future. Rounding out the attendees were Senate Minority Leader Tom Kean, Senator Sam Thompson, Assemblyman Ron Dancer, Assemblyman Rob Clifton, Mayors, elected Municipal officials, municipal Chairs and nearly 200 passionate Republicans.  There were numerous standing ovations as Governors Kean and Christie encouraged the crowd to work hard to elect Bob Hugin to the US Senate.

A common theme of the night was that all must work hard to elect US Senate candidate Bob Hugin because he is the better person to represent New Jersey, and that Bob Menendez is an embarrassment even to the average Democrat. The evening culminated as Bob Hugin spoke of how the diversity of Middlesex County, represents the people of New Jersey and how he will represent all New Jersey residents..

Senator Sam Thompson, one of the events sponsors stated:

“This fundraiser was the most successful event held by the MCRO in recent memory.  This is testament to Chairwoman Panos’ tireless dedication and strong leadership.  With the US Senate seat in play, Middlesex County will once again become a crucial battleground.  Thanks to Governors Kean and Christie, we will have the necessary resources to compete and win.”

Chairwoman Panos stated:

“Friday’s event was a huge success.  I’d like to especially thank Governors Kean and Christie for acknowledging the power of Middlesex County, the NJGOP and the MCRO leadership for working to make this event a success. As Governors Kean and Christie attested, Middlesex County has a history of serving as a battleground in key state-wide races.  I am confident that this year will be no different. We must do everything we can to elect Bob Hugin to the Senate, Rich Castaldo to the Freeholder Board, and local candidates across the county.  This event has energized the people which will make victory all the more likely.”
