STATEMENT FROM CHAIRMAN ROB BENGIVENGA JR: MIDDLESEX COUNTY REPUBLICANS ENDORSE LEGISLATIVE AND COUNTY CANDIDATES FOR JUNE 2023 PRIMARY

OLD BRIDGE — Yesterday, the Middlesex County Republican Organization held its convention, endorsing candidates for State Senate, General Assembly, and County Commissioner candidates for the June 6 Primary Election.

“I am proud of our 2023 legislative delegation and slate of candidates that bring the wealth of real-world experience and energy that Middlesex County and New Jersey needs to combat Phil Murphy’s liberal agenda in Trenton, historic inflation, rising crime rates, and ever-increasing costs of living,” said Middlesex County Republican Organization Chairman Robert Bengivenga Jr. “The Executive Board and I are proud of the slate that our County Committee members have endorsed, and we look forward to successful efforts this June and November to elect more Republicans to local and state offices.”

The candidates who received the MCRO endorsement to run in the June 2023 Primary are:

Middlesex County Board of County Commissioners: Peter Pisar of South Amboy and Gary Hagopian of Old Bridge for County Commissioners

12th Legislative District: Mayor Owen Henry of Old Bridge for State Senate, Assemblyman Rob Clifton of Matawan, and Assemblyman Alex Sauickie of Jackson for General Assembly

14th Legislative District: Pat Johnson of Hamilton for State Senate, Adam Elias of Monroe and Skye Gilmartin of Hightstown for General Assembly

16th Legislative District: Michael Pappas of Branchburg for State Senate, Grace Zhang of Princeton and Ross Traphagen of Clinton for General Assembly

17th Legislative District: Bill Mikita of Piscataway for State Senate, Dhimant Patel of Piscataway and Susan Hucko of North Brunswick for General Assembly

18th Legislative District: Neal Shah of East Brunswick for State Senate, Councilman Joseph Wolak of South Plainfield and Teresa Hutchinson of South River for General Assembly

19th Legislative District: Maria Garcia of Perth Amboy for State Senate, Marilyn Colon and Sam Raval of Woodbridge for General Assembly

21st Legislative District: Senator Jon Bramnick of Westfield for State Senate, Assemblywoman Nancy Muñoz of Summit and Assemblywoman Michele Matsikoudis of New Providence for General Assembly
