To Handle Government Affairs for NJSFDA

Monmouth County Democrats Executive Director Samantha Minchello has stepped down after accepting a lobbyist position at the New Jersey State Funeral Directors Association handling Government Affairs.

“Samantha will be a significant loss to the Party in her role as Executive Director. She coordinates many tasks for the Party and handles many issues for me as the Chairman, and for that, I am very grateful” said Chairman David G. Brown II. “The Party is not just losing an Executive Director, but a colleague and a friend who will be missed, but I am sure Samantha will not be going far and still be active in our organization. I wish her all the best in her future endeavors and believe she will achieve her personal dreams!”

Minchello, who has served as Executive Director since 2021, has been an integral part of the success that the organization has seen in the past few cycles. With her vast experience and statewide network, Samantha has been able to bring a high level of professionalism and expertise to the role.

“Samantha Minchello is one of the most professional, smart and hard working people we have had working for the Monmouth County Democrats as Executive Director.  She is leaving very big shoes to fill. I wish her the very best in her new position.  Samantha will be sorely missed.” said Vice-Chair Mary Foster.

Her time as Executive Director followed a string of roles within the organization. Minchello served as the Director of Operations and Outreach for the successful 2019 campaign for Assembly members Eric Houghtaling and Joann Downey. She has also served as President of the Monmouth County Democrats’ Young Democrats Caucus for several years where they continue to mentor and develop young leaders within the county.

“While I look forward to my new position, I am disappointed to be leaving my role as Executive Director” said Ms. Minchello. “The Monmouth County Democrats, and everyone involved in the organization, have truly been a pleasure to work with over the past several years. While my role may no longer be Executive Director, I am committed to continuing to advocate on behalf of Democratic values here in Monmouth County, as well as engaging young folks in the political process.”
