Mitchell Cobert’s Open Letter to the Voters

Today, Mitchell Cobert, Democratic Candidate for Congress in New Jersey’s 11th District, wrote an open letter to the voters. The letter is attached below here:

My Letter to You

“I am writing to personally express my gratitude to each of you. You have helped me grow. I will always remember the warmth and support I received at the many religious services, committee meetings, meet and greets, open forums, festivals, fairs, and one-on-ones.

I am running because this is the most important election of my lifetime. As I have gone around the district, I have spoken out on important issues like Wall Street, the environment, and gun safety. I have heard your concerns and will continue to advocate for people with disabilities, for people with drug and substance abuse issues, for the right to have healthcare for every single person at an affordable price, and for the 11 million undocumented immigrants, especially the dreamers to have a pathway to citizenship.

I have written about specific issues facing our district like the privatization of water, reinstating Glass-Steagall, Dupont pollution in Pompton Lakes, and the securitization of auto-loans.

Personally and as a Moms Demand Action Candidate, I will continue to fight and stand up against gun violence. As a top candidate by the Sustainable Politician Project, I will continue to make public environmental issues, and personally do my best to clean up the environment.

With my experience as a former New York Assistant Attorney General, a practicing securities attorney, and my longtime involvement in our community, I am uniquely qualified to be your Congressman. Now I need your support to vote for me tomorrow in the Primary.

I stand for Common Ground, Common Sense.

Thank you,

Mitchell Cobert”
