14-Bill Package Improving Maternal Health Care, Aiming to Reduce Risk of Mother and Child Death

 

(TRENTON)- Taking significant, historic steps toward setting regulation of adult use cannabis, strengthening the state’s medical marijuana program, expanding expungement laws to include expedited services for residents, and providing guidelines under the medical aid in dying bill, the full General Assembly will convene Monday at 1 p.m.

Legislation derived from hearings held by four Assembly panels on the state’s housing foreclosure crisis and New Jersey’s high rate of maternal and child death rates compared to other U.S. states are also up for a floor vote during Monday’s Assembly session.

The General Assembly will celebrate Women’s History Month and St. Patrick’s Day with floor presentations.
