Colts Neck – Monmouth County Republican Committee Chairman has announced that Monmouth County voters cast more early in person votes on machines that in any other county in the State of New Jersey.
Although Monmouth County does have the highest population in the state, Monmouth County voters set a record as the top early in person voting county with almost130,000 voters casting their ballots during the early voting period.
“We set a record here in Monmouth County and what is remarkable is that over21,000 more Republicans than Democrats voted during the 9 day early voting period,” said Monmouth County Republican Chairman and Sheriff Shaun Golden. “We had such a tremendous turnout of Republicans during the early voting period that it erased any advantage that the Democrats typically have going into election day due to mail in ballot voting.
“We are proud to be the leader in the state with the early voting process. Fromour GOP leaders to our County Clerk and all of the County election officialswho work hard to ensure that Monmouth County voters know about the earlyvoting opportunities, said Golden. “Our hard work and dedication shows in thenumbers.”
