Monmouth County Republicans Launch GOP Women’s Leadership Initiative

For Immediate Release: Monmouth County Republicans GOP Women’s Leadership Initiative

Monmouth County Republicans launched a  “GOP Women’s Leadership Initiative” at its Headquarters in Colts Neck on Saturday, February 24, 2018. The initiative was held for women interested in getting involved in politics and government, and making a difference in the Monmouth County community.

With over 30 women present, the discussion focused on opportunities in government, whether it be elected office, appointed positions, or grass roots activism.  The room was full of enthusiasm as women shared their personal experiences and aspirations for political futures.

County Clerk Christine Hanlon was excited to see the number of women who made time to come to the event.  “We need more women to take on important roles in government at the local, state and national levels.”

The Monmouth County Republican Committee will continue this program to educate and encourage women in Monmouth County to get involved in public service.  Chairman Shaun Golden said, “Our Republican leadership in Monmouth County has a history of advancing and supporting women in leadership roles. We want to encourage women to get involved. There is no better time than now!”

Anyone interested in getting involved should contact the Monmouth County Republican headquarters at MonmouthRepublican@gmail.com
