Monmouth County Young Democrats Elect 2020 Executive Board

Monmouth County, NJ – The Monmouth County Young Democrats are excited to announce their newly elected 2020 Executive Board. The Monmouth County Young Democrats held their annual elections on Tuesday, February 25th where the general body elected the six member board.

Chairman David G. Brown was in attendance and addressed the need for young energy in politics.  “This passionate and dedicated group has reignited the young democratic energy in our County. They have been a great partner and I look forward to our continued work together to help elect democratic candidates up and down the ticket.”

The re-elected and newly elected Executive Board members for 2020 are as follows:

Devin Carrick, President – Devin Carrick works for the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore and is a recruiter for Impact 100 Jersey Coast, a women’s non-profit that raises money for local non-profits.

Catherine Tung, Vice President – Catherine works for the Assembly Majority Office and also serves as Secretary on the New Jersey Young Democrats Executive Board.

Sam Berzok, Treasurer – Former Legislative Director for Assemblyman Karabinchak, Sam is currently pursuing a Masters in Public Administration (MPA) at New York University’s Wagner School.

Samantha McAllister, Events Director – Former Aide to the Governor, Samantha now works for Direct Development handling Business Development and Communications. She is also pursuing her Master of Public Administration degree from Rutgers University.

Allison McLeod, Secretary/Communications Director – Allison is a resident of Aberdeen and works in government relations for the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.

Anthony Aldorasi, Director of Community Outreach – Anthony was born and raised in Monmouth County and practices as a criminal defense attorney for the Office of the Public Defender here in Monmouth County.

The Monmouth County Young Democrats are dedicated to empowering young people to engage in the political process through volunteerism, opportunity, and action in order to strengthen our influence in politics and policies.

The objectives of the MCYD are to encourage and develop the interest of young people in politics, support and elect Democratic candidates for public office, train young people for positions of leadership, and provide opportunities for young people to network, volunteer and elevate civic involvement.

The MCYD holds monthly meetings throughout the county, as well as fundraisers and social events throughout the year.
