MONMOUTH DEMOCRATS ENDORSE COUNTY FREEHOLDERS AND DISTRICT LEGISLATIVE CANDIDATES AT ANNUAL CONVENTION

LONG BRANCH – At its annual Democratic convention this past Saturday, the Monmouth County Democratic Organization endorsed candidates for Board of Chosen Freeholders and legislative races.

“We live in a time where individuals are highly motivated to run for office, make a difference in their community and serve the public. The competition has excited the Democratic base in Monmouth County and will prove that we have our very best running for office.” said Chairman David G. Brown II of the Monmouth County Democratic Organization.

The Monmouth County Democratic Organization endorsed Freeholder candidates, Moira Nelson of Asbury Park and Michael Penna of Long Branch.

The candidates who received the Monmouth Democratic endorsement to run in the June 2019 Primary are:

• 11th Legislative District: Assemblywoman Joann Downey (D-Freehold Twp) and Assemblyman Eric Houghtaling (D-Neptune Twp).

• 12th Legislative District: Candidates Malini Guha of Matawan and David Lande of Millstone Twp.

• 13th Legislative District: Candidates Allison Friedman of Aberdeen and Barbara Singer of Holmdel.

• 30th Legislative District: Candidates Jason Celik of Howell and Steven Farkas of Howell.
