The Monmouth and Ocean County Democrats LGBTQ Caucus

In preparation for this past weekends’ Mini Con, the Ocean County Democrats rounded up a steering committee of 20 individuals, led by Ocean County Democrats Chairman Wyatt Earp, of which 3 members were LGBTQ residents of Ocean County.  Working in conjunction with the Monmouth and Ocean County Democrats’ LGBTQ Caucus, the entirety of the Ocean County Democratic Organization is moving towards an inclusive and equal voice for members of its’ LGBTQ community.  The mission of the Monmouth and Ocean County Democrats LGBTQ Caucus is to raise awareness of LGBTQ concerns to the County level, to encourage the LGBTQ community to get involved civically and voting on the Democratic line, and to support and recruit Democratic LGBTQ candidates to run for local office in Monmouth and Ocean counties.  The Caucus holds regular monthly meetings, organizes fundraisers for LGBTQ and ally Democratic candidates running for local office in Monmouth and Ocean counties, and volunteers its’ time in nonpartisan/bipartisan community events.  The Caucus is always excited to hear from new voices, support new LGBTQ candidates, and expand its’ membership.
