T.C. McCourt, Judy Hernandez, and Alicia Sharma, the Democratic candidates for Morris County Commissioner, released the following statement in reaction to today’s Supreme Court decision:

“We are heartbroken for the women of America. Though we knew this decision was likely, to see it actually handed down is indeed a shock to the system.

Make no mistake, today’s decision is but one step in a years-long effort by far-right Republicans and their allies to roll back the rights of anyone who doesn’t think like them.

We will do all we can to make sure that this isn’t forgotten. That the people understand that today’s horrible decision puts so many of our hard-won freedoms at stake.”
