Morris & Sussex County Sheriffs Endorse Rosemary Becchi for Congress
New Jersey Law Enforcement Needs Dependable Representatives in Washington, D.C
Morristown, NJ – Morris County Sheriff Jim Gannon and Sussex County Sheriff Mike Strada today endorsed Rosemary Becchi’s campaign to reclaim New Jersey’s 11th District Congressional seat.
“Rosemary is someone I can rely upon for support as we continue to fight the opioid addiction crisis and to keep our schools and communities safe. As a longtime taxpayer advocate, working mom, and leader in the fight to make college more affordable for New Jersey families, Rosemary is exactly the kind of leader we need in Congress. As Congresswoman, she will be a loyal friend of law enforcement and always ensure that the men and women who protect and serve all of us will have the tools they need to do their job,” said Sheriff Gannon
Sheriff Strada echoed that confidence in Rosemary.
“It’s about time we had someone in Congress like Rosemary, who wants to stand up for the rule of law and New Jersey law enforcement officials who fight to protect all communities. We must put public safety above politics,” said Sheriff Strada. “The concerns of Sussex County residents have been ignored and even dismissed by some career politicians, as we cooperate with all law enforcement agencies on the local, state and federal levels to protect our families and resist those who would allow trendy political posturing to stop that important cooperation.”
Rosemary thanked the sheriffs for their endorsement.
“I am deeply inspired by the confidence these two veteran law enforcement officers have placed in my abilities to lead in Congress. The support they should be able to expect from New Jersey’s state and federal representatives while protecting our communities should never be left to the whims of political posturing. I promise not to ignore or abandon their concerns when they need a federal Representative to stand firm behind them as they perform their sworn duties,” said Rosemary.
