Governor Murphy Endorses State Senator Brian Stack for Re-Election in Senate District 33

TRENTON – Governor Phil Murphy today endorsed State Senator Brian Stack for re-election in the newly-drawn State Senate District 33, representing the communities of Union City, North Bergen, Weehawken, Guttenberg, West New York, and Secaucus.

“For nearly 20 years, Brian Stack has strongly represented the people of Hudson County in the Legislature, first as a member of the General Assembly and then as a State Senator. Growing up in Union City, Brian learned the meaning of public service from his parents, Edward and Margaret, who brought him to political rallies from a young age and were active members of their community.

“In the Senate, Brian led the fight to pass sweeping eviction prevention measures and emergency rental assistance for families in need during the COVID-19 pandemic – legislation I was proud to sign last August in Union City. As Mayor, Brian has distinguished himself as one of the most responsive and effective public servants in the nation – providing comprehensive constituent services, distributing turkeys and gifts to families in need during the holidays, and tackling quality-of-life issues ranging from garbage pickup to potholes. This is why the people of Union City have re-elected him time and again with overwhelming support.

“Brian’s commitment to public service and unmatched ability to meet the needs of his constituents make him uniquely qualified to continue serving in the State Senate. I enthusiastically endorse his re-election in Senate District 33 and look forward to our continued partnership on behalf of the people of New Jersey.”
