Murphy for Governor Submits Nearly $350,000 in 2nd Matching Funds Request
Newark — Murphy for Governor today made its second submission — of $347,216 — under the Gubernatorial Matching Funds Program.
Under the program, contributions to Murphy for Governor are matched two-to-one in public funds; in exchange for the funds, the campaign will adhere to a spending limit of $13.8 million for the general election cycle. A maximum of $9.3 million in matching funds is available.
“We are continuing to see great momentum and excitement for Phil’s campaign, as New Jerseyans are clearly ready for new leadership that turns us away from the failed agenda of Chris Christie and Kim Guadagno,” said Brendan Gill, campaign manager.
If all contributions in the latest submission are accepted, Murphy for Governor would receive $694,432 in matching funds.
Last week, the campaign received $1,174,939 in gubernatorial campaign matching funds from its initial submission, which was made on July 11.
