Murphy Statement on FY2020 State Budget
(TRENTON) – This afternoon, Governor Murphy signed the Fiscal Year 2020 budget into law. In response, Assemblywoman Carol Murphy, a member of the Assembly Budget Committee, issued the following statement:
“The budget the Governor signed today is sustainable and fiscally responsible with a surplus of over $1.1 billion. It provides more funding for property tax relief, education, community colleges, NJ Transit and more without raising taxes on New Jerseyans.
“I’m especially happy that the budget includes additional funding for Personal Care Attendants and Direct Services Providers who do such valuable work with passion and pride.”
