| We thank Senate President Steve Sweeney for his 20 years of strong leadership in the state Senate. We can’t say we have agreed with Senate President Sweeney on every issue, but he always took our calls and our meetings, and gave us the opportunity to provide the business community’s perspective on matters important to our state. He has been a courageous advocate of state pension and healthcare reform, a leader in economic development, and a champion of the workers of New Jersey. We thank Senate President Sweeney for his service, his passion for New Jersey and his willingness to hear all sides. These are hallmarks of good leadership, and of democracy. |
