NEW DCCC TV AD in NJ-07: Kean Jr. Bad for New Jersey’s Health Care, Beholden to Special Interests

First DCCC TV Ad in the 7th Hits Kean Jr. on Terrible Health Care Record, Special Interest Ties

Today, the DCCC released a new TV ad, “What Does It Say,” that airs beginning today and holds Tom Kean Jr. accountable for his abysmal health care record and his special interest ties.

Kean Jr. is bad for New Jerseyans’ health care. Tom Kean Jr., who once said “I disagree with the ACA,” voted twice against creating statewide health insurance. He even voted against a public awareness campaign promoting the health insurance exchange. Kean Jr. voted against expanding Medicaid in New Jersey, voted against protecting consumers from surprise out-of-network medical billings, and voted against $11 million for a prescription drug program to assist seniors and people with disabilities afford prescriptions.

Why? Well, he has taken nearly $1 million from health and insurance industry donors…

DCCC Spokesperson Christine Bennett released the following statement:

 

“Tom Kean Jr.’s record tells us everything we need to know about how he’d govern in Washington. Kean Jr.’s firmly on the side of special interests and big drug manufacturers, taking a million dollars from health and insurance industries and voting against a plan to provide affordable health care. What does his abysmal record say about Tom Kean Jr.? That he’s bad for New Jerseyans’ health care.”
