New Hugin Ad Sets Record Straight

MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ — Today, the Bob Hugin for Senate campaign is releasing a new ad titled “Ryan,” which features a father who saw Bob’s compassion and humanity up close. The ad will begin airing next week.

“Our ad makes sure New Jerseyans know who the real Bob Hugin is: a father and husband who dedicated the last two decades of his life to improving the quality and extending the lives of millions of patients with cancer and terminal diseases,” said Hugin Communications Director Megan Piwowar. “Under Bob’s leadership at Celgene, millions of patients with life-threatening diseases like cancer had the opportunity to spend more birthdays with their loved ones and friends. For Bob Hugin, the first concern always has and always will be the millions of patients and their families that Bob and Celgene were able to help.”

Kirby Davidson, father of Ryan Davidson:

I’m Kirby Davidson.

My son Ryan was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor when he was just six years old.

They put him on Revlimid.

The insurance company denied any coverage.

We were devastated.

We didn’t know how we would make it work.

And then Bob and Celgene stepped in.

Bob Hugin definitely is a man of character.

It’s not the drugs.

It’s not the profits.

It’s a very personal thing for Bob Hugin.
