NEW JERSEY CITIZEN ACTION STATEMENT ON GOVERNOR MURPHY’S FIRST 100 DAYS
New Brunswick – Ahead of Governor Murphy’s speech at Rutgers University in New Brunswick marking his first 100 days at Governor of New Jersey, New Jersey Citizen Action Executive Director Phyllis Salowe-Kaye released the following statement:
Governor Murphy has spent his first 100 days in office making good on his campaign’s commitment to the people of this state. From equal pay to earned sick days to advancing our health care and protecting our state from federal sabotage and attack, Governor Murphy has prioritized the people, communities, and investments in our future that Chris Christie left behind. It will take years to repair eight years of damage and neglect to our state’s economy, infrastructure and communities. However, if this is what we can achieve together in just 100 days I cannot wait to see what we can do in the next 2822.
New Jersey Citizen Action is a statewide progressive advocacy organization fighting for social and economic justice, representing 100 affiliated and allied organizations and 60,000 family members. We put progressive values into action.
