New Jersey Citizen Action Statement on New Jersey 3^rd Congressional District mid-term election

Highland Park — Following the mid-term election in which the contest between Republican Congressman Tom MacArthur (NJ-3^rd) and Democrat Andy Kim remains too close to call, New Jersey Citizen Action released the following statement:

“This race was never meant to be competitive, but the powerful work of the activists, advocates, and organizers helped ensure that Tom MacArthur was held accountable for voting to cut taxes for the rich and leading the charge to take health care away from 23 million Americans,” said Ann Vardeman, program director for New Jersey Citizen Action. “We trust that district officials will ensure that every last vote, whether vote by mail, or provisional, is accurately counted. As a staunch Trump ally Tom MacArthur voted time and time again against the interests of his district and New Jersey, and we are confident that district voters will replace him with Democrat Andy Kim.”
