New Jersey Coalition of Latino Pastors and Ministers and Lisa Santiago Foundation Join Forces to Promote Voter Registration
Jersey City, New Jersey– The New Jersey Coalition of Latino Pastors and Ministers, in collaboration with the Lisa Santiago Foundation, is excited to announce an ambitious initiative aimed at registering 10,000 new voters across the State of New Jersey. This vital effort underscores our commitment to civic engagement and the importance of every individual’s voice in the democratic process.
As our community grows and evolves, we recognize the critical role that voting plays in shaping our future. “Voting is not just a right; it is a fundamental civic duty that empowers us to influence the policies that affect our lives and the lives of our families,” said the Rev. Raul Ruiz, President of the New Jersey Coalition of Latino Pastors and Ministers. “We urge all our constituents, regardless of political preference, to take action and register to vote.”
The voter registration drive will kick off on Monday September 19, 2024 and will include a series of community outreach events held throughout the state. These events will provide resources, information, and assistance for anyone looking to register or learn more about the voting process.
With this initiative, we aim to strengthen our community’s voice and ensure that it is heard in the halls of power. Every vote counts and it is essential that our constituents participate in the electoral process, making their voices heard on issues that matter most to them.
We are encouraging everyone to join us in this important endeavor. Together, we can meet our goal of registering 75,000 new voters and empower our community to shape its future.
