New Jersey Democratic State Committee Announces Conference Schedule, Adds DNC Chair Tom Perez as Guest Speaker

Governor Murphy, Senators Menendez and Booker Among Scheduled Speakers, Hundreds of Grassroots Activists Expected to Attend

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — The New Jersey Democratic State Committee today announced the full schedule for its 2018 Annual Conference taking place at Harrah’s Resort and Casino from September 20-21, 2018. The theme of this year’s NJDSC conference is “Riding the Blue Wave”. The gathering will focus on mobilizing grassroots activists throughout New Jersey to re-elect U.S. Senator Bob Menendez and help Democrats take back control of the House of Representatives.

Governor Phil Murphy, First Lady Tammy Murphy, Lieutenant Governor Sheila Oliver, U.S. Senators Bob Menendez and Cory Booker, NJDSC Chairman John Currie, and NJDSC Vice Chairwoman Lizette Delgado-Polanco are all scheduled to speak at the conference. They will be joined by Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez, who will address attendees on Friday afternoon.

“Last year, New Jersey voters overwhelmingly supported our campaign to build a stronger and fairer New Jersey that works for every family,” said Governor Murphy. “In 2018, New Jersey Democrats have the opportunity to build on last year’s historic election by making their voices heard during the most critical midterm election of our lifetime. Now more than ever, we must work together to re-elect Senator Menendez and our Democratic Congressional delegation. But we also have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to flip congressional districts that haven’t been seriously contested by our party in a generation. I am excited to bring our message of change to all New Jersey voters this fall, and I am thrilled to have Chairman Perez join us in our mission to flip the House.”

The NJDSC conference schedule, as well as information on how to register, is available on the state party website. NJDSC has reserved a block of rooms at Harrah’s for conference participants that will be made available to press. Contact NJDSC for more details on how to book.

“As a party, we are standing up against Donald Trump’s intolerant policies and working to affect change on the local, county, state, and federal levels,” said Chairman Currie. “We are committed to building party support in traditionally Republican municipalities and districts across New Jersey. Together with Chairman Perez and his team at the DNC, I know we will accomplish those goals, and I thank Chairman Perez so much for his leadership not only here, but throughout our country.”
