New Jersey Democratic State Committee Chairman John Currie Releases Statement on Redistricting Proposal in State Legislature

TRENTON, NJ — New Jersey Democratic State Committee Chairman John Currie has released the following statement on the redistricting proposal currently in the state legislature:

“We must ensure that every New Jerseyan is counted in the 2020 Census. There is simply too much at stake. And, with President Trump’s recent threats and the impact of the pandemic, it is wholly appropriate to wait until we have the accurate census data to undertake the redistricting process. I support the Legislature’s effort to push back the process by two years, ensuring we have the data to inform a map that is representative, inclusive, and fair.”
