New Jersey LCV Statement on the New Energy Master Plan

New Jersey LCV Statement on the New Energy Master Plan:

TRENTON, NJ – Ed Potosnak, Executive Director of New Jersey League of Conservation Voters, released the following statement today on the release of the Energy Master Plan:

“Today, Governor Murphy and his administration outlined their plan to realize their 100% clean energy vision. With the release of the new Energy Master Plan, we are sending a strong message to other states that we are committed to the phase out of fossil fuels and embracing a rapid shift toward electrification. We applaud Governor Murphy and his administration for their tireless work as they put the final touches to the Energy Master Plan.

We look forward to working with Governor Murphy and their administration as they identify low-cost pathways to reach our clean energy goals, to ensure natural gas doesn’t serve as a bridge fuel, to catalyze good local jobs in New Jersey’s clean energy economy, and to continue to make New Jersey a national leader in the fight against the climate crisis.”

New Jersey League of Conservation Voters is a non-partisan organization whose mission is to elect environmental champions, hold public officials accountable, and support laws which protect our environment and improve the quality of people’s lives.
