New Jersey Main Street Alliance Statement in response to Governor Murphy signing the State Budget

Highland Park — New Jersey Main Street Alliance released the following statement today in response to Governor Murphy signing the State Budget.

“This budget is a step in the right direction towards creating the foundation for our state’s economy as we move forward”, said Raj Bath, Business Representative for New Jersey Main Street Alliance. “Funds for assisting with the minimum wage increase, property tax relief and NJ Transit are critical for main street New Jersey to thrive. Small business owners are the backbone of our economy and New Jersey needs to ensure that we continue to invest in programs that go hand-in-hand with uplifting the small business community. It is critical that we do more and we can by implementing a true millionaires tax which would help fund the investments to spur economic activity. We look forward to working with Governor Murphy and the State legislature on building for the future to meet the needs of our small business owners and working class New Jerseyan’s.”
