New Jersey for Puerto Rico Hurricane Relief to Donate $80,000 to Three Relief Agencies

 

JERSEY CITY – October 24, 2017 – Organizers with New Jersey for Puerto Rico Hurricane Relief, launched just hours after Hurricane Maria hit the island exactly five weeks ago, will be donating $80,000 on Wednesday, October 25 at 2 p.m. as part of ongoing emergency support.

 

Fund organizers, comprising leading government and business leaders in New Jersey, will be presenting checks to the Salvation Army, New Jersey Division, the American Red Cross – New Jersey Region, and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Puerto Rico. The money has been quickly raised, with donations from $5 to $30,000 pledged through NJ4PR.org

 

During the media event at 2 p.m. tomorrow, fund organizers will be discussing how and where the money is earmarked and the immediate effect it has had in the most devastated regions of Puerto Rico, mostly in the rural sections of the commonwealth.
