Candidate for U.S. Congress in New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District, Peterson receives an early endorsement by the New Jersey Right to Life

CLINTON, NJ, April 8, 2022 – Assemblyman Erik Peterson (NJ R-23) has won the strong backing of the New Jersey Right to Life PAC with its endorsement this week.

“During his time as an Assemblyman, Erik Peterson has been a strong and vocal supporter of the sanctity of human life. He has consistently voted pro-life and is the sponsor of many life-protective bills, including the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act and the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act. Erik has most recently signed on as a co-sponsor of legislation to repeal Governor Murphy’s shameful and unpopular 9 month abortion on demand act,” said Marie Tasy, Executive Director of New Jersey Right to Life.

Murphy’s abortion bill was pushed through the legislature at breakneck speed without the public’s knowledge in the lame duck session this past January.

The American Conservative Union’s CPAC has rated Peterson with a lifetime score of 95%, the highest of any New Jersey politician currently holding office. Among the Conservative principles considered in the ranking are taxes, regulation, healthcare, Second Amendment, religion, individual liberty, voting integrity, and the right to life.
