New Jersey Society of CPAs Applauds Emily Stahlin Hoffman, CPA, and Kerry Duda, CPA, on Their AICPA 2020 Leadership Academy Selection

ROSELAND, N.J. – The New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJCPA) is pleased to announce that two of its members — Emily Stahlin Hoffman, CPA, CGMA, PSA, principal consultant at Vyome Therapeutics and owner at Remington Worth LLC of Princeton, and Kerry M. Duda, CPA, audit supervisor at WilkinGuttenplan of East Brunswick — are among the 30 CPAs nationwide to be accepted to the American Institute of CPAs’ 2020 Leadership Academy to be held Oct. 5 to 8. Both were accepted based on their exceptional leadership skills and professional experience.

Emily Stahlin Hoffman has a proven track record of leadership. She is a successful business leader and entrepreneur with over 15 years of public accounting experience, which includes over a decade working with billion-dollar governmental entities and privately held businesses and securing and managing multi-million-dollar contracts. She previously was the director and co-chair of The Mercadian Group’s Compliance Oversight Group for 10 years and worked at EY as a senior auditor.

Kerry Duda has many years of dedicated service to the NJCPA, having won its 2019 “Woman to Watch” Ovation Award. She is currently an appointed member of the NJCPA Emerging Leaders Council and is a chapter volunteer for the Bergen Chapter Board of Directors. She serves on numerous NJCPA groups including the Emerging Leaders Interest Group, Governmental Accounting & Auditing Interest Group, Student Programs & Scholarships Committee and Accounting & Auditing Standards Interest Group. At WilkinGuttenplan, she is a seasoned auditor specializing in multifamily and mixed-use housing audits.

The Leadership Academy was designed to strengthen and expand the leadership skills of promising young professionals while they network with a peer group of talented and motivated CPAs. Participants were selected from public accounting firms of all sizes, business and industry, academia and consulting firms. To date, more than 385 CPAs have participated in the AICPA Leadership Academy.
