New Jersey State League of Municipalities, Inducts 33 into Elected Officials Hall of Fame

Trenton, NJ (June 25, 2020) The New Jersey State League of Municipalities inducted 33 new members into the Elected Officials Hall of Fame. Since 1999, these honors have been presented annually at the Mayors Legislative Day in Trenton. That in-person event was cancelled due to Covid-19.

The honor is reserved for local municipal governing body members who, as of December 2019, served for more than twenty years in elected municipal office.

The president of the State League of Municipalities, Committeeman James Perry, of Hardwick, said, “The Elected Officials Hall of Fame recognizes these officials who have selflessly guided their communities through the good times and difficult times often with little recognition of their public service. This small token of appreciation focuses a light on their sacrifices over lengthy tenures, demonstrating how much they care and serving as excellent examples of civic pride for all citizens to emulate.”
