“Tori, Darwin and Tony have a bold vision for county government and we’re proud to offer them our endorsement,” said Pat Colligan, President of the New Jersey State P.B.A. “They stand behind law enforcement and they will fight with us to keep the jail open and make sure our members and their families have partners in county government.”

President Colligan added: “Mike Donato is a true leader who will bring a new vision to the sheriff’s office, fixing morale and charting a new course for this vital law enforcement agency.”

The State P.B.A. represents 33,000 law enforcement Officers Statewide, along with the Cumberland County Conference that represents more than 600 law enforcement officers working in Cumberland County, including correctional police officers, county sheriff’s officers, and municipal law enforcement in Vineland, Bridgeton and Millville.

“As a former PBA member, receiving the endorsement of the state and county chapter of the PBA is the honor of a lifetime,” said Mike Donato, a career law enforcement professional. “I highly respect their commitment to law enforcement, serving the needs of their community and setting the highest standards for our profession.”

“The PBA is the standard for law enforcement in New Jersey,” said Tori Lods, a candidate for Freeholder. “This endorsement is incredibly flattering and inspiring all at once. Thank you.”

“We support law enforcement,” said Darwin Cooper, a freeholder candidate. “The only way that we’re going to make progress in this county is by working together and that work begins with shutting down the county’s campaign to defund law enforcement.”

“The backing of the PBA gives our campaign a shot in the arm,” said Tony Romero.
